It’s almost time for the next lunch lecture! Prof. Dr. Ruud Delwel from our very own Erasmus MC will be giving a lecture about his research on acute myeloid leukemia. This is a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes abnormal white blood cells, and has many different subtypes, each paired with its own specific combination of genetic mutations. Delwel is a molecular biologist and he does research on the molecular mechanisms that are responsible for leukemia. He recently made a big discovery on such a mechanism of one of the most fatal forms of leukemia. With this research he won the prestigious KWO-prize last year. Curious as to what he has to say? Then come to lunch lecture on Monday the 28th of November, between 13:00 and 14:00 in CQ-U in the Erasmus MC. Lunch will be provided as usual.
