The 13th of June, the first lunch lecture in Rotterdam of this year will take place. Omnigen is a company located at the science hub of the Erasmus University. They focus on analysis of DNA using bioinformatics. Omnigen combines both quite commercial and research based bioinformatics. The research is focussed on pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer has a very low survival rate. Better diagnostic tools could help doctors determine what the best treatment options are. The commercial side focusses on helping people understand the influence of their genes on their nutrition and sport performance.
Do you want to learn more on how bioinformatics can impact the world, both from a commercial and research based point of view? Come to the lunch lecture in OWR-35 in the EMC from 12:45 until 13:30. Free lunch will be provided.
