Are you an ambitious student interested in synthetic biology? Are you a team player and up for a challenge? Then iGEM (http://igem.org) may be something for you.
iGEM is an international competition to create genetically engineered bacteria to specifically solve a relevant problem. The project starts in January and ends in October at the giant jamboree in Boston where teams from all over the world present their project. Apart from a great learning experience iGEM is an 18 ECTS elective course which will form an excellent basis for successful Master and Bachelor End projects.
